Whole30: The results

Taking before and after photos isn't something I do.  I just don't have the desire to do so.  I gauge my success during a Whole30 on a number of different factors.  I have increased energy.  This is the biggest thing for me.  I'm able to manage my kid without wanting to lose my mind (most of the time).

I constantly hear from family and friends 'How much weight have you lost?' and to be honest, it kind of drives me batty.  In It Starts with Food, it is all explained why it's so important not to focus on those aspects of the Whole30.  Though I did lose weight during the Whole30, it's not what I focus on solely.

I have mental clarity, my skin is clear, my hair is shiny and I haven't had any hormonal acne this month.  I feel generally healthy and to me that is the most important part of the Whole30.  I'm also sleeping much more soundly at night.

Did I have a treat after finishing up? No.  I didn't want to.  I feel so terrible when I do, that I'll just keep trucking on.  I may introduce some full fat dairy here and there, but for the most part I'll continue to eat the way that I have been for the past month.

I really love the Whole30 and it is amazing what the team over at Whole9 has done to help me change my life.

To see my progress, take a look at the links under the title No Piece of Paleo Cake.
